Effective Team?

How do you know if a team is effective?

Terry and I recently traveled to Boston for a conference and a part of the conference focused on “Team Effectiveness and building great teams.” According to Webster’s Dictionary, team (verb) – come together as a team to achieve a common goal. Webster’s definition of effectiveness (noun) – the degree to which something is successful in producing a desired result; success.

However, how do you know if a team is effective? There are 3 ways the speaker concentrated on to measure effectiveness

  1. The team accomplishes its purposes and those it serves are getting what they need.

  2. The team becomes increasingly capable over time.

  3. Members learn, grow, develop as a consequence of being part of the team.

We’re a team and you’re a part of it!

As a team it is important to honor commitments, appreciate differences, and apply collective wisdom. Together here at Herr Capital we work as a team and want you to know you are part of our team.
